Statement of Faith
Grace and Truth Christian Academy does not subscribe to the doctrinal statement of any specific church or denomination, but does require that all teachers, administrators, board members and parents accept the following Statement of Faith:
-
God
God – We believe that there is one true and living God, who is perfect in all His attributes. He is one in essence, yet three in Person — that is, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Together, they make up the Trinity — eternally existing, each equally deserving of worship and obedience. The three members of the Godhead have precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-6; Matthew 28: 19; Mark 12:29; 1 Corinthians 8:4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:1-2)
-
God (God the Father)
We believe God the Father is infinite, the creator of the universe, and sovereignly rules over it. He is holy, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. (Job 42:2; Psalm 90:2, 139:7-10; Isaiah 6:3; Jeremiah 17:10; Malachi 3:6; Acts 17:24-25)n goes here
-
God (God the Son)
We believe in the full deity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, and His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection from the grave, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 24:30; Luke 24:5-6; John 1:14, 11:25, 14:1-3; Acts 1:11; Hebrews 1:1-3, 7:25-28, 9:12; 1 Peter 2:22)
-
God (God the Holy Spirit)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a personal Being who convicts the world of sin and who regenerates, indwells, empowers, guides, leads, helps us pray and seals believers eternally for God. (John 14: 16-17a, 26, 15:26, 16:8; Romans 8:26-27; Ephesians 1:13, 4:30; Titus 3:5; Jude 1:20)
-
Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible is the very Word of God; inspired, infallible, and inerrant in its entirety and, therefore, is our only authority in matters of faith and practice. There are no other writings that can add to or take away from the truth of the Holy Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
-
Man
We believe in the creation of man by the direct act of God. We believe that God created man and woman in His own image, and when they disobeyed God, they fell from grace and brought sin into the world. Though man is born in sin, God has provided redemption through His Son, Jesus. (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7, 3:6-7, 5:1-2; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23-24, 5:12; 1 Peter 1:18-21)
-
The Church
We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The universal church consists of the body of believers in which Jesus Christ is the head. (Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 12:12-13; Galatians 3:26-28; Ephesians 1:22-23)
-
Salvation
We believe that one is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone which is the only way to eternal life. We believe that Heaven is the dwelling place of God where the saved will experience eternal joy. Hell is the place of eternal punishment of separation from God for the lost. (Mark 9: 43; Luke 16: 19-26; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:7–9; Revelation 20: 11-15, 21:1-2)
-
Marriage
We believe that marriage is God’s sacred gift and that the only scriptural marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19: 4-6; Ephesians 5:31)

The Great Commission
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ commands those He has saved to be His ambassadors and witnesses. His followers are to proclaim the gospel throughout the world and to disciple men and women of every nation. They are called to share their faith, grow more mature in discipleship and are also instructed to make other disciples by baptizing and teaching them to obey all Jesus commands. (Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; Romans 10: 14; 2 Corinthians 5:20).
